As we all know, good planning is usually the key to a successful project and moving office is no exception. If the entire process is well planned, disruption to the business can be minimized.

Assign a Co-ordinator

Usually a Director or senior manager, your co-ordinator will work with our project manager to ensure the relocation is completed as planned.

The layout of your new premises will likely have been decided early in the planning stage of your office move. However, it may be that you plan to move items that you don’t need. Just as a house accumulates clutter over the years, an office can collect obsolete equipment and furniture.

Decluttering before the move can reduce the workload and thereby reduce costs.

It is also worth considering whether you really need to take a row of full filing cabinets that are almost never opened. It may be more logical to put those unused files (which you still need to keep) into Archive Storage.

Hold an Open Day

Finally, once your office move is completed and all the staff are settled in their new environment, invite your best customers to an open day. This could be a great opportunity to build stronger business relationships and raise awareness of your business.
